IMPACT OF INTEGRATED NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT ON SELECTED SOIL CHEMICAL AND ENZYME ACTIVITIES IN MAIZE FIELD AT OKENE.

This study evaluated the impact of integrated nutrient management on selected soil chemical and enzyme activities in maize field at Okene, Kogi State. Soil samples were collected from four farmers’ field in Okene according to the applied treatments. The treatments were; Control plot (no fertilizer), Plot with the usual farmers’ practice of 150 kg ha-1 NPK (15:15:15), fertilizer applied at 2 weeks after sowing maize seeds in the field, Plot with Office Cherefien des Phosphates’ (OCP) special blend (NPK 15: 15:15 fertilizer fortified with Zn and Ca).
