This study examined the marketing efficiency and profitability of rice processors in Kwara State. Data were obtained from 200 randomly selected processors and analyzed using gross margin analysis and a multinomial logistic regression model. Fully mechanized processors earned a higher gross margin (₦1,107,923.27) than semi-mechanized processors (₦294,003.47). Marketing efficiency ratios show that semi-mechanized processors realized ₦52.00 for every ₦1 spent, while fully mechanized processors realized ₦32.00. Age, experience, and education significantly reduced the likelihood of attaining higher efficiency levels, while household size showed mixed effects. Initial capital consistently improved efficiency. The study concludes that rice processing is profitable and economically viable in the area. Keywords: Rice processing, Marketing efficiency, Profitability, Mechanization, Kwara State.
